New Atlantic Link Rapid e-Learning Releases to Create a ‘buzz’ at Learning Technologies 2008
February 4th, 2008
Atlantic Link go into this year’s Learning Technologies Exhibition with a much larger stand than in previous years but Managing Director Mike Alcock denies that this is because they need the extra space to hold all the awards they have won.
2007 saw a further four awards added to the already overburdened trophy cabinet.
Atlantic Link were the only organisation to win two awards (a gold and a silver) at the prestigious Brandon Hall Shoot Out event in America.
Nearer to home a North West Training Award and the e-learning age Award for outstanding achievement provided further evidence of the outstanding track record of Europe’s leading e-learning software.
Mike Alcock comments, “Yes we have won a lot of awards but we really needed the larger stand because so many training managers want to get a look at the product.
The awards have drawn attention to the fact that we have a market leading product which is carving a niche for itself internationally as well as locally and we are finding that more and more training managers want to find out about it for themselves.”
Despite already boasting the finest feature set in rapid e-learning software, Atlantic Link will demonstrate many exciting new features and functionality with the launch of Content Point 2008 on Stand 5 at the exhibition at London’s Olympia2 from the 30th to 31st January.
Here is a quick insight into some of the major developments and how they make a difference:
Collaboration - Workflow engine - create tasks for rectification, assign authoring tasks to users, let Subject Matter Experts review courses and raise issues, mark-up slides for modification and much more.
Collaboration - Course locking - automatically lock courses, sections, subsections and slides when authoring. Prevents 2 users from modifying the same content simultaneously.
Collaboration - Content Point manager groups - create groups of authors and limit which courses can be seen and modified by authors.
Ideal for large organisations with multiple course development teams. Includes ‘read only’ courses for global template use.
Simulation - ‘Show me, try me, test me’ - automatically create 3 modes of playback from a single Capture Point file.
Full movie output complete with mouse movements, mouse clicks and typed input. Full author control on fade-in, fade out and display times.
Simulation - ‘Word’ output from Capture Point - automatically create documentation for your IT training projects.
Rapid Authoring - Enhanced PowerPoint conversion - convert your PowerPoint slides and now bring through the Notes fields.
Display the notes in your courses in pop-up windows anywhere on the screen.
Mike Alcock concludes, "The new features in Content point 2008 take our product into new territory and we are confident that visitors to the exhibition will be flocking to Stand 5 to find out what the buzz is about."
