TT electronics refocuses for Future Growth Next Release

TT electronics Group is refocusing its components division in Europe following a recent strategic review. TT electronics Components, which comprises Welwyn Components, BI Technologies, AB Mikroelektronik, IRC, Optek and the recently acquired Semelab, will be focusing on offering its customers highly engineered components specific to their application needs.

David Winter, Divisional Director said, “The components group is widely recognised for its world class engineering skills and leading edge technologies. The strategic review has highlighted new opportunities where we believe our core skills can contribute significantly to the growth of the group as a whole.”

Following the review TT electronics Components Europe will refine its product portfolio to allow greater emphasis on high growth sectors including medical, defence and aerospace and renewable energy markets. In addition a new operating structure is being implemented to enhance the Group’s service to its customers and drive new product development.

“The individual component businesses have already achieved strong market positions across a range of product segments. To improve future business performance there will be an increased focus on developing market leading positions in additional growth product segments such as visible optical devices, power and RF semiconductors,” commented Winter.
